Anthony Malat is a Musician turned menswear Designer turned Furniture Maker / Interior Designer based in New York City. Anthony has shared the stage with the likes of Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, Yeah Yeah Yeah’s and others at venues as iconic as CBGB’s, 9:30 Club and even Madison Square Garden in his career as Bassist / songwriter with several different bands over the last 3 decades.

As a clothing designer, he has made custom suits for a wide array of clients, including musicians Billy Corgan of Smashing Pumpkins, Perry Farrell of Jane’s Addiction and members of Interpol, Bon Iver, and Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds / Grinderman to name just a few. His custom menswear designs have been featured on the cover of the New York Times’ Style section, as well as Rolling Stone magazine, GQ, Spin, and countless others here in the US and abroad.

            For over a decade now, Anthony has been designing and making custom furniture. This new skill set was first tested on his own home that he shares with his now wife, Jamie Isaia. New York Magazine caught wind of his work and featured the couple in their Design Issue in 2010, shot by Todd Selby. Since that feature Anthony’s work has been documented in other interior design magazines and has gained him commissions from clients of all walks of life including A-list actors, fashion photographers and other creative types. He has had a hand in designing restaurants and boutiques such as: Nourish Kitchen + Table in the West Village, Superiority Burger and Seyrig Boutique in the East Village, Welcome Shoppe in Union Square and a small handful of neighborhood haunts in his neighborhood of Williamsburg, Brooklyn. His most recent project is as Designer for Casa Publica also in Williamsburg.
